Living with Purpose

Let no man despise thy youth;
but be thou an example of the believers,
in word, in conversation, in charity,
in spirit, in faith, in purity.
~ 1 Timothy 4:12 ~

As a little girl, I was encouraged by many to choose a "life verse." A special verse that would be an encouragement each day. A verse that would be a guide. Something to hold on to during the hard times and look at during the good times. I don't know when it happened, but this verse became that verse. My plumbline for life.

1 Timothy 4:12 applied for me as a teenager - Be an example of Christ, regardless of age. But it also applies to me now - Be an example of Christ, and here's how. Not a day goes by where I don't have an opportunity to ask myself, "Was I an example of Christ today?" It gives me a purpose - to share Christ with everyone through my life.

Well, here is my life... My confessions. I hope that the things I have learned and have experienced will be an example for you. Sometimes serious, sometimes humorous, sometimes very human, and sometimes just me - but all with purpose. Living for Christ, sharing Christ, and showing Christ.

I am a twenty-something girl, happily married to Mr. Wonderful, raised in the Northeast, and settled in the South. My husband is the youth pastor at Small Town Baptist Church, and I am now the secretary. I absolutely love studying the Bible and learning how it applies to me personally. On top of that I love sharing what I have learned with others through teaching classes and personal discipleship. I love pretty things, bright colors, and shopping. Pinterest has become my new best friend. Did I mention I love shopping? :)

Welcome to the Confessions of Kay!
